Spring has been a whirlwind of travel. I managed to take home a few more prizes at Sweet Molasses Blues in Boston, Steel City Blues in Pittsburgh, and most notably at BluesShout in Austin. My partner John Joven and I took second place in the Strictly Jook Joint Competition and I won the Solo Blues Cuttin' Contest. Photos and video will be posted soon!
In between travel, John Joven Jamison Valenta and Rachel Singer have joined me in teaching monthly workshops in Chicago, which are ongoing. In July Campbell Miller and Chris Mayer from Austin are coming to do a special weekend workshop! And of course, the annual Chicago Underground Blues Experience takes place in June, from the 10th-13th.
I'll be sticking close to home for the summer, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to schedule private lessons for yourself or a group of friends.
